Mist Sprayer

SANDIA MIST SPRAYER

MODEL SMS-100

Something to think about: Mist spraying versus Hydraulic or Dilute spraying.

Dilute or Hydraulic spray patterns produce large drops which will run off of crops and waste water and chemical. Mist spraying will give you much better distribution of small spray droplets which will produce better penetration and coverage with less chemical and water. A fine, even mist gives the best results!

Normally, a small amount of spray will be propelled about 5' to 15' beyond the normal swath width. This is known as overlap or feathering. As a rule, this overlap does not contain enough chemical to achieve the desired results and shouldn't be considered as part of the swath width. This area will be feathered over by the preceding swath until the field is evenly covered. As a rule, the amount of spray in the overlap area is not enough to affect the spray application.
